First among the grits included in the kit is an extra-fine diamond (9 micron / 1200 mesh) for polishing and refining a razor edge after sharpening with a coarser diamond, followed by a fine diamond (25 micron / 600 mesh) for initially honing a razor sharp edge. Third and finally is the coarse diamond (45 micron / 325 mesh) for quickly restoring a neglected edge.

Each stone is also conveniently sized at 6" x 2" x 3/4", with the hardwood box coming in at 7.75" x 7.25" x 1.25". The box also includes rubber feet for secure placement on countertops, workbenches, and many other flat surfaces.
